Sliding Scale

I have a number of sliding scale spots in my practice. These spots are reserved for people who face systemic barriers to accessing mental health support. Please contact me directly if you would like a copy of my sliding scale guide. 

Cancelation Policy

I have a 24-hour cancellation policy. This means that you will need to provide me with 24-hours’ notice prior to your appointment if you need to cancel it. If you do not provide 24 hours’ notice, you will be charged the full amount. Extenuating circumstances are excepted. 

Insurance

I will issue you a receipt for each session, which can be used for insurance and income tax purposes.

Services provided by Registered Social Workers (RSWs) are not covered by Ontario Health Insurance (OHIP) but are covered by many insurance companies. If you have extended health benefits through your employer, contact your insurance company or human resources representative to inquire whether counseling services provided by a social worker (RSW) are covered in your plan. If they are not, you can often request that they be added.

Counselling services provided by RSWs can be claimed as a medical expense for tax deduction purposes when you file your income tax return. Because policies can change, it is recommended you connect with someone with current knowledge of CRA’s rules and regulations before filing your return.

I am also a registered provider of the NIHB program for First Nation and Inuit individuals; The Child First Initiative and Blue Cross for Canadian Armed Forces members, Veterans and First Responders.
